Color issues with Klayout on Windows 10

Hi Nazca team,

I was testing your tutorial Laser layout script export with Klayout 0.25.8 on windows 10.

The visual effect of gds file looks weird on my laptop. All the filling colors and stripples are not “functional”. So I wonder if anyone see similar issues before.

Windows 10 laptop, Klayout 0.25.8

1. gds layout generated https://nazca-design.org/how-to-create-a-laser/ with expected gds-visual from the website:
   
2. Imported layer profile into Klayout–>Tools–>Manage Technologies
   
3. Visual effects of .gds on my Klayout looks awful especially with the colors.
   The filling colors and stripples seem not working.
   

Question marks:
#1. Anyone see similar .gds color issue before?
#2. Is it a windows 10 problem?
#3. Is it a Klayout compatibility problem?

Dear YaohuiC,

The issue you describe is related to a KLayout setting.
To see the fill colors and stipples deselect: KLayout / View / Show Layers Without Fill.
